Vinyl Voyage: Music Festival        Identity System and Branding

Objective
  1. Develop a visual identity system for a Brazil-based turntable music festival that celebrates the rich cultural heritage of Bahia and the artistry of turntablism.
  2. Apply the identity system across a range of festival deliverables, ensuring cohesion, cultural relevance, and visual impact.

Process

Site and Topic Research
Exploring Bahia’s architecture and signage alongside vintage block party flyers, 
I discovered unexpected threads.


Concepting    
Using the research, I began experimenting with different typographic and concept visuals.



Iterating
Going forward with mimicking the stacked architecture found in Bahia, I began exploring
the foundational rules of the system.




Building Final System
After exploring different visuals that speak to the festival I began establishing
the final identity rules.



Deliverables
Using the established identity system, I designed a set of deliverables for 
the Vinyl Voyage Music Festival.





















Final Reflections

  1. Made a cohesive brand identity that was both impactful and engaging.
  2. Gained experience in motion graphics and kinetic typography.
  3. Built a solid foundation in client-centered and audience-focused design.
